Comment 24 bp TIRs, so likely a DNA transposon, but no obvious TSDs and TIRs do not match other DNA transposon ends yet. The element carries about 2.5 tandem copies of a 146 bp unit from pos 250-618. Present at orthologous sites in elephants and humans, absent in opossum.
